Works like a linchpin where the retainer clip "snaps" up to remove it, and down to lock it into place. The new design also holds the L-pin slightly above the top of the Equal-i-zer spring arm, which helps reduce hitch noise, especially in slow, tight turns. Make using your Equal-i-zer hitch even easier by combining this with a set of Socket Pins with Thumb Clips.
